Happy Anniversary

To the Love of My Life

My Dearest,

As I sit here writing this, I keep thinking back to December 4, 2020. I wonder if the two people exchanging those first few messages had any idea of the wild, beautiful, and sometimes difficult adventure they were about to begin.

Looking back, our path wasn’t a straight line. When we first met in person in March 2021, things didn’t go the way I had dreamed. We were so different, and we faced challenges that almost broke us apart. I still think about how close we came to losing each other back then. But the universe had other plans for us.

That reunion in November 2021 changed everything. It was the moment we decided that we were worth fighting for. From our court marriage to you finally arriving in the USA in January 2022, and marrying me again just two days later with the Nepali Pandit—it has been a whirlwind.

And of course, I will never forget returning to Nepal in November 2022 to marry you for the third time, traditionally, surrounded by our culture and roots. Not many people can say they married the same person three times, but I would marry you a hundred times more if I could.

I know we have had our ups and downs. Adjusting to life here, the pressure of school, the long days—it hasn’t always been easy. But watching you work so hard, watching you get so close to finishing your school, and seeing the woman you have become has been the greatest privilege of my life.

We have traveled to countless places since December 2022, but my favorite place in the world is simply wherever you are.

With all my love,
Your Husband
